Hi,

thanks for your amazing website.

Have you seen the jamup app for ios?

how can i get a jonny sound for there there in that app?

Hello Reza!

I am not familiar with the app, but this advice should help you get a decent “Jonny” sound from just about any amp modeler or application:
Use the Vox clone (probably called “Brit Combo”) for Jonny cleans and the Marshall clone for Jonny distortion. Use the Vox’s “normal” channel, or if it doesn’t have that explicitly listen then don’t boost the treble or bass (though set the tone cut to accommodate your instrument). For the Marshall clone, set it for a hefty mids boost, with a slightly boosted treble and bass as well. With modelers, using their Marshall amp clone is going to get you way closer to Shredmaster -> Eighty-Five than any modeled distortion pedal into a modeled Fender would.

Also, make sure to choose appropriate cabinet modelers as well. In guitar amps especially, the speaker has a huge impact on how the instrument sounds – Radiohead (generally) use Celestion Alnico Blues in their Vox combos, and a Celestion Greenback in the same cabinet wouldn’t quite a different sound.

The settings might take a little tweaking to properly reproduce Jonny’s particular sounds – listen closely to tracks where his playing is obvious (like 15 Step, Nude, Maquiladora (solo), Electioneering (left-channel)) And don’t be afraid to break the advice that I’ve given if it’s not working with your particular modeler!

That particular app seems to have a Whammy modeler, so you might want to pick that up as well. Also, I’m sure that the app will have a Tube Screamer modeler, which will be pretty decent (in combination with the Vox) for coping his Boss SD1 distorted sound (I Might Be Wrong, Lucky).
