With The Smile, Jonny uses the “vibrato” channel on his ‘65 Reissue Fender Super Reverb. You probably know already, but the “vibrato” on Fender amps is actually a tremolo effect (volume modulation). And on the Super Reverb, the spring reverb is only active on the “vibrato” channel (this is true for the Deluxe Reverb and Twin Reverb too). In addition, the Super Reverb’s “vibrato” channel has a mid control, while the “normal” channel has only treble and bass. Perhaps Jonny occasionally uses a little tremolo and reverb to add variation. But he’s most likely using the “vibrato” channel for the extra mids control. At the Magazine shows, he had the reverb and vibrato controls set to “1” on the knob, which is turned off completely.
And before you ask for his EQ settings, see this post.

Here’s a screenshot from rehearsals for The Smile’s show at London’s Magazine in January 2022. Notice the tag hanging off of the “normal” channel’s volume knob. Jonny had previously used a vintage Super Reverb, so presumably he purchased the reissue for touring.
